Worcester, MA Firefighters faced heavy fire conditions on arrival from a vacant 2.5sty wdfm dwelling around 0250hrs on January 23, 2008. Quick second and third alarms were transmitted due to the severe exposure issue on the Delta side. The OIC had companies place big lines, deck guns, and ladder pipes on the exposure to try to stop the rapidly spreading fire. The heavy fire made its way into the 3rd floor and attic of the exposure while firefighters were inside with big lines. Companies were pulled out due to the large amount of fire that burned through the roof. Firefighters went back in to chase hot spots and open up after the ladder pipes and tower ladders knocked the attic fire down.
