Somerset Engine 6 reported on scene with flames from the roof of this 1sty Burger King Restaurant in Somerset, MA around 1400hrs on April 2, 2008. The Jakes stretched in a 1.75" handline to find the seat of the fire. The fire was reportedly in the fry-a-lator system with extension into the ductwork system. The fire was quickly knocked down using two 1.75" hand lines. The brothers opened the roof around the vent/fan using a chainsaw to check for extension outside of the duct system. The fire was under control in 20 minutes using 3 engines, a ems rescue, and several chiefs. The Board of Health was notified along with the fire investigation units.
