Blackstone, MA Firefighters responded to 119 King Street for a reported outside fire near a vacant dwelling. The on duty crew responded with Engine 54 while the call stations responded in also. The police cruise assisgned to this grid reported a rubbish fire that was indeed extending to the "D" side sidewall of a 1sty wdfm vinyl sided dwelling. The fire was starting to burn into the siding as the first due units arrived. The firefighters quickly stretched an 1.75" hand line and dosed the rubbish pile. There wasn't any further extension into the structure. The building was reported to be foreclosed on recently. The chief held the scene with two engine companies.
