Pawtucket, RI – Engine 5 was stilled out for a reported grass fire in the area of 810 Mineral Spring Ave around 1200hrs on June 3, 2009. As Engine 5 got closer they radioed that this might be a shed behind the reported address. The company officer asked for the full box to respond as they arrived to find this well involved 2 bay garage with an auto inside. One hand line was stretched and a 5" feeder was laid. The residence was roughly 20’ away from the burning structure but wasn’t threatened. The Pawtucket Fire Prevention Bureau will be investigating the cause and origin. Companies returned in 45 minutes.
