Cumberland, RI - Cumberland Fire received calls for a reported dwelling fire just after 1700hrs on February 24, 2010 for the address of 213 Morris Street. Stations 1, 2, 4, 5 and Rescue 2 responded in on the initial alarm of fire. Truck 1 arrived to find smoke showing from a 1.5sty wood frame occupied dwelling. Fire was found running the side "d" exterior wall around the pellet stove chimney pipe. Firefighters opened up the side wall exposing the fire in 2 bays. The fire was quickly contained before it had extended to the upper floor and knee wall area. Mutual aid covered empty firehouses during the blaze.
