UXBRIDGE, MA - A male worker fell approximately 20' from the roof of the McDonald's Restaurant on Quaker Highway on September 8, 2008 around 9 o'clock in the morning. Uxbridge Fire/Rescue responded to find an adult male with multi system trauma injuries. The firefighters stabilized the patient with c-spine precautions, requested ALS, and also asked for a helicopter to transport to a trauma center. Engine 1 secured the landing zone which was set up at the DPW on River Ave. Rescue 1 stabilized the patient at the scene and then transported the patient to the landing zone where the Boston Medflight crew awaited their arrival.
