STATION 6 IS CLOSING EFFECTIVE SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 6, 2009 AT 8:00AM Fire Station #6, located at 504 Fairmount Street, has been in existence since 1928. The brick building blends with the neighborhood very effectively. A single engine house, Engine Company #6 is currently a 1993 KME 1250 gpm pumper, carries 1000 gallons of water and is commanded by Capt. Tim Walsh. All the Engine and Ladder Companies in the City of Woonsocket are Advanced Life Support Response vehicles to better serve their neighborhoods.
