Providence, RI – Fire Alarm stilled out companies to the address of 58 Hazard Ave for a reported dwelling fire around 1315hrs on September 14, 2009. Engine 5 arrived to find this 30x50 2 story brick/wood dwelling heavily charged with smoke. Companies found the seat of the fire in the basement and began to stretch lines to extinguish the blaze. The fire was starting to extend upwards but was quickly doused by the aggressive attack. The OIC special called an extra engine and truck over the working fire. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The incident commander started to release companies 30 minutes after their arrival.
