Millbury, MA (Worcester County) - Millbury firefighters handled an attic fire in a 1 story wood framed 3 unit apartment house at 3 Canal Street on May 19, 2010. Heavy smoke was showing on arrival of the first due companies. Several large vent holes had to be cut into the roof to access the fire in what seemed to be several additions on another. The Red Cross was called to the scene for the occupants who escaped without injury. The Massachusetts State Fire Marshal was requested to the scene for origin and cause.
