Lincoln Fire dispatched Stations 5, 4, 3 and Rescue 4 to 1032 Smithfield Ave for smoke detectors sounding with the home owner also smelling smoke. Deputy Chief 5 reported all occupants were reported out of the dwelling and for a line to be stretched. An 1 3/4" foam line was stretched to the side 3-4 corner to knock down the fire in the partitions. Companies used a chainsaw to open up the siding to check for extention. The State Fire Marshal's office will be assisting in cause determination.
